An Art Prize ForAll

The Shire of Cuballing is a hidden gem in Southern WA and a source of creative inspiration! Postcards from Cuby is a biennial Art Prize celebrating what our town and region means to our community and visitors.  A celebration of the little things that make Cuballing and surrounds such a special part of the world.

 

About the Theme - People and places, flora and fauna, working life and leisure , triumphs and challenges - whatever Cuby means to YOU.

Entries will be digitally catalogued for use in Cuballing Shire promotions. 

ENTRY DETAILS

Entries welcome from people of all ages and artistic abilities. We accept works from all mediums*. Cost is $10 per entry. (Tiered for multiple entries.)

PRIZES & CLASSES

Class 1. Painting - $500

Runner up $100 value

 Acrylic/Oil/Watercolour

Class 2.  Dry Media - $500

Runner up $100 value 

 Charcoal/Pastel/Pencil or other drawing medium

​

Class 3: Open - $500

Runner up $100 value 

Any other medium not listed above inc. mixed media

​

Class 4: Youth < 16yrs $150

Runner up $50 value 

Open - Any medium​

People's Choice Award - $300

ART EXHIBITION

Entries will be showcased on Sat 14th Sept 2024 at the Cuballing Agricultural Town Hall. 10am - 3pm.  Works may be offered for sale by the artists.*

IMPORTANT DATES & ARTWORK DELIVERY

Entries Open 1st July 2024.

Entries Close 10th September 2024.

 

Delivery of Entry forms and completed works accepted in person and by post* by 10th September 2024.

In-person to Shire of Cuballing  Offices, 186 Campbell St, Cuballing, Mon-Fri  8.30am - 4.00pm.

By post to Shire of Cuballing, PO Box 13, Cuballing WA 6311.

Entry fees can be paid in person (cash or eftpos) or over the phone using credit card.

DISPLAY OF ARTWORKS

The layout of artworks is subject to the number and type of entries. Visitor flow, light and space will be considered. If you have an easel or stand you would like utilised please deliver this with your work/s. Artworks will be displayed with a label including Title, Artist Name, Description and Price if applicable.

ARTWORK SALES

Entrants are welcome to sell their Artwork/s at the Exhibition. Sales will attract a 10% commission donated to the Cuballing Fire Brigade.
